1/2 — The Rise of Fenris Marks the End of Scythe
All good things must come to an end, including the hit board game Scythe from Stonemaier Games. As reported on Stonemaier’s website, the upcoming expansion, The Rise of Fenris, will conclude the expansion trilogy and close out Scythe overall. The silver lining to this news is that The Rise of Fenris expansion is fairly substantial, with an eight-episode campaign and eleven modules. In addition, there are also 13 miniatures, 62 wooden tokens, 2 custom dice, 5 tiles, and 100+ cardboard tokens that are new to this expansion. Stonemaier Games also assured Scythe’s fans that this new expansion will be fully compatible with the previous expansions and that it can be reset, which means its players can replay the eight episodes more than once. 1/9 — Genesys Is Heading to the Realms of Terrinoth
Not too long ago, Fantasy Flight Games released their own tabletop RPG system, Genesys. Like any RPG system, Genesys needed a setting, which it’s now getting with the Realms of Terrinoth sourcebook. The Realms of Terrinoth text will allow its users to travel to the world of Mennara – the same world featured in the Runewars games, Runebound, Legacy of Dragonholt, and the Descent games. All of the races, weapons, armor, and more that players expect are added with this fantasy setting, as well as a history of the world of Mennara. There are also additional sections that outline new crafting and alchemy mechanics, and much more. The Genesys system is becoming more attractive with time, and this Realms of Terrinoth setting might be what puts it over the top.

1/10 — AEG Is Going Big with Edge of Darkness Game
As reported on AEG’s website, the publisher will launch the Kickstarter for their newest game, Edge of Darkness, on February 20 at noon (EST). Clair (Mystic Vale), the game is for two to four players and features card crafting, deckbuilding, worker placement, and what they call a “cube tower Threat system”.
